  • just loving this site – love the market research element! What a gift of a trip – enjoy x

    • Love hearing from you. For the record, research is being conducted by two young field researchers aged 8 and 12 and their manager. Best local meals so far are Coconut Curry Fish Soup in Bali and Ota’ Ika’ (raw tuna in coconut milk) includes lemons, spring onions, tomatoes, green pepper. Both yum but I see a pattern emerging.

  • You can get substantially more mileage out of your Margherita Index if you use it to measure exchange rate under/overvaluation (as per the Big Mac Index). You weren’t listening in the PPP lecture – mucking about with the girls at the back, weren’t you Dave…

    • Iraj, excellent to hear from an old professor. PPP are just three letters whereas Margherita is a pizza. PPP is required after along day spent drinking Margherita. Does that clarify things.

  • Hi there. Came across your site. I am running a boutique emerging market event driven absolute return ambidexterous fund of funds. Any arbitrage opportunities? Info would be appreciated. Free pizza provided from nearest global office facility.

    • Unfortunately not taking any more funds at this stage. Index is up 20% this year vs. the Orangutan high return fund
